I am not much of a ‘I enjoy the shower so I am going to take a lot of time’ person. Really, it’s just get in, clean everything, get out. I don’t like to wait, I don’t like to take forever, I don’t just want to linger. There never has been much of a point. Why would their be?
Until I realized that sometimes, the shower is all I have to use as a relaxation time. At the end of the day, 5 kids, 7 cats, school, diapers, bottles, dishes, meals, driving, homework, everything ever. I needed to enjoy myself more than I was. But… what makes a shower relaxing to most people just doesn’t do it enough for me. I was happy to find Home Spa’s amazing lineup of shower sprays. I received a bottle of each scent, and it was good to be able to decide which one worked the best for me.
The four scents are Pink Grapefruit, Lavender, Tangerine, and Eucalyptus.I would have to say that my favorites are Lavender, Eucalyptus and Tangerine. In that order. I don’t super love the pink grapefruit, but it’s not really terrible. It’s just not my preferred scent, I bet my mother would love it though. She likes grapefruit, so I am passing it on to her. 🙂 I kind of have to be careful about grapefruit with medications Cid and I are on anyway, so… maybe that’s why I didn’t really super love it?
Home Spa Shower Sprays are made with all natural ingredients, and it takes just three pumps into the shower stream (or above it in the air) to make your shower go from meh to ahhh… well, for me anyway! You can follow Home Spa Shower Spray on Facebook!
I sadly… tend to suffer from a lot of headaches. Well I suffer from pretty regular pain and headaches (awful ones) just seem to be part of the territory (ugh…) So the idea of something to help with that so I am not stacking up far too much medication, I’m allergic to Aspirin and you know what Tylenol can do to your liver. :/
I was happy to be offered the Thermal-Aid Headache Relief system, which offers a cooling eye mask that you put in the freezer (for at least 6 hours, so I just leave mine in there until I need it!) as well as a cream you gently rub on your forehead to help ease pains.
Thermal-Aid also offers seven different animal buddies that you can heat or cool to help soothe your little ones. You can also find Thermal-Aid on Facebook!
Thankfully I fell asleep with the Thermal-Aid Headache Relief mask on. Every time I’ve used it since then, I’ve felt better without the use of pain killers.
What do you do to make your experiences in the bathroom better? What do you do when you have a headache that is just too much?

The tangerine home spa shower spray sounds wonderful! I absolutely love citrus scents – they make me feel happy and more energetic. The eucalyptus sounds interesting too – wonder if it would help relieve stuffy noses and cold symptoms? The lavender sounds heavenly for a before-bed relaxation treat. Can’t wait to try them all!
This sounds like such a relaxing and creative self-care idea—thank you for sharing it! I really liked how you turned an ordinary shower into more of a spa-like experience with aromatherapy and soothing scents. Sometimes the smallest rituals can make a huge difference after a stressful or exhausting day.
The concept of using shower sprays for headache relief is especially interesting because scents like peppermint and eucalyptus are often associated with relaxation and a cooling, refreshing feeling. Creating a calming environment with steam and aromatherapy can really help people slow down and unwind both mentally and physically. (ohayookasan.com

I also appreciated how approachable and practical your suggestions were—nothing felt overly complicated or unrealistic. It’s a great reminder that self-care doesn’t always require expensive treatments; sometimes a few thoughtful touches can completely change the atmosphere of an everyday routine.
