Sis has a skin condition called Keratosis Pilaris. She actually inherited it from her dad who has it a bit worse on his legs… but Sis’s can go from her legs, up her lower back, her belly, up her arms to her shoulders and neck, and even onto her cheeks! Yikes. 🙁
I have tried many different products in order to keep the bumps at bay because she has been teased about them before. They look like she either has red goosebumps or that she’s got ‘chicken skin’. As that is what Keratosis Pilaris tends to look like.
When I heard about Toe Juice I was hopeful, but still cautious. Would this actually help Sis at all? Or would it be grasping at another straw only to fall?
The lighting in the picture isn’t the best, but as you can see there are little bumps all over Sis’ leg here and they’re all red and dry. Imagine this on arms and legs, bottom, lower back, cheeks, and parts of your upper torso. It’s dry, itchy, and people don’t know what’s ‘wrong’ other than ‘oh you have goosebumps!’ all the time. Which is hard when you’re a little kid. This is Sis’ BEFORE Toe Juice picture!
We received exactly what is pictured above. Two bottles of Toe Juice. Which I have to admit is the silliest name really! One bottle is 4.6 fl oz and the other is a small 1 oz bottle she can take with her places if she needs/wants to.
The product has a rubbing alcohol mixed with lemon scent, due to the lemon peel oil, and the isopropyl alcohol. You’d think having the rubbing alcohol wouldn’t help with the dryness issue, but I was surprised to see it actually didn’t cause additional dryness.
I’ve also used Toe Juice on some unhappy skin I was having with almost always being barefooted. It wasn’t dry skin that was cracked and a bit gross. Yes, not the best thing to put on the internet “my feet were gross! run away!”
*ahem…* Anyway….
I was also happy to see that this is a product not tested on animals. I try my best not to get products that are tested on animals, even though I am not perfect. I was happy to see it like I said.
Above is our “still using and not remembering to use every day” after shot. I just put more on and as you can see there are some spots with some bumps still, but they’re no longer red, and no longer nearly as rough. This even helps the red rough patches she gets on her cheeks too! Though I don’t have a picture of that or my toes for you. Sorry. >.>
After trying so many things the past two years for Sis’ Keratosis Pilars, I am so excited to say that I feel that Toe Juice is #1 in its treatment!
Now, the fine people of Toe Juice are allowing me to give some away to my readers! Yay!
So a quick rafflecopter and you’re all set! Let’s see what Toe Juice can do for you eh?
