One thing I really love and feel is very important is arts and crafts time. Not even just for kids, I think finding some kind of artistic or creative outlet is generally good for people. There are so many crafty or artsy type of hobbies out there, and getting to use your hands and imagination isn’t something that just goes away once you’re in school. In fact I feel it can be pretty therapeutic.
So it’s no real surprise I’m sure that I absolutely love to share arts and crafts products when I am doing reviews and gift guides. So today I have this cute little Ribbons & Unicorn Craft Kit set from Highlights.
The kit comes with enough items to make three ribbon crafts: a unicorn wand, ribbon hoop, and a hair comb. Plus even more supplies to make all sorts of wonderfully magical things. A great way to keep kids busy on a rainy day, busy day, or just when you want to pull out something to give them creative time. Or heck, even just because they want it.
I love the colorful ribbons, thick glittery paper, stickers, and pom poms! I know that Risi will have a great time making adorable things with this kit, even if I am sure she might go a little off the original point. I think she’ll make some creative accessories for her stuffed animals and cute items to use when she’s playing with other small toys and doll houses. She loves creating and customizing things; so this is a perfect gift for her. Plus I’m happy knowing she’ll be kept busy and spending a bit less time on her iPad while I’m working if she’s enjoying creativity time!
