This morning Lisi and I had to run Ruuny to the vet in order to get neutered and boosters for his shots. The plan was that I would be picking him up after class and all would be well in the world.
The vet called at 2:15 when I was just about to class and said that his blood work came out fine, he came through surgery fine, but he was still a bit loopy on the drugs so perhaps picking up later would be a good idea. I said I would call after class to see how he was doing, and just figured from there he’d be fine to pick up at 4.
I called at about 3:35 because class got out early (poor teacher isn’t feeling so well) and he still wasn’t 100%. The vet asked if I had a place that could be 100% quiet, child free and with no other pets… and.. yeah… well, while I could have kept him up in my room with his own food and water dish, a spare catbox and other things.. I couldn’t for sure say the kids could be quiet enough for him. So, when I told the vet that she said “ohhh, just let me keep him over night.”
I agreed for his sake, but Tori is acting all strange without her ‘Runny here, and I miss him coming to ask for noms and snuggle around my ankles as I’m cooking dinner. 🙁 Just this morning he was chattering on the window sill as he watched birds flit to the bird house.. and now. It’ll be 24hrs between when I saw him to when I see him again. @_@
Hopefully he’s feeling 100% in the morning and I can pet my sweet little ‘Puuners!
Soon Ru! You’ll be home and I’ll get to see you plop in a random box or basket again. I’ll miss you sleeping at my feet tonight. 🙁
I hope he healed up okay. As crazy as my cat makes me I’d miss her if she wasn’t around 🙂

He’s healed up fine. Today he actually has energy back and seems a bit more like himself!
its so hard to be without loved ones, even our pets. i hope he had a speedy recovery after that
