In October we got a wonderful gift from the wonderful people at California Delicious. California Delicious specializes in wonderful gift baskets with a California theme. They offer unique food, wine and spa gifts for every holiday or event you can imagine! All of the gift baskets are, as you can probably guess, made in California and delivery is available in every state!
Being from California originally, I was happy to get to work with this company partially for that reason alone! 😉
This review was meant to be up much sooner, but pregnancy complications, Halloween costume prep, and then the birth of Risi really has me a bit behind on things. Thankfully, I am slowly yet surely bouncing back to the swing of things and am pleased to be able to finally get this review up!
I picked this Halloween Gift Basket from California Delicious as I just knew the kids would go NUTS over it! A mix of delicious dark and milk chocolates from Ghirardelli, added in small festive treats, and the wonderful way everything was packed and presented made this basket a true delight!
Here’s a picture that actually shows everything without the wrapping and the bow that decorated the basket. The kids were all standing around me just so eager to get to enjoy the treats!
So many delicious treats! The Milk and Caramel Ghirardelli chocolates (both the bar and individual squares) were huge hits! The Lindor truffles have gone over very well too, with me having to hide some just so I would get to enjoy them myself!
Both Ghirardelli bars are dark chocolate and absolutely delicious, dark chocolate can help with blood pressure and while I was struggling with my blood pressure the 3 1/2 or so weeks before Risi was born it helped to have the delicious bars on hand to eat slowly. In hopes that it would help, of course the deliciousness factor was part of why I enjoyed eating it too!
The truffle cookies were, as far as the kids tell me, very delicious. There were two in the pack so each of the kids got a half of one, and were pretty sad that I didn’t have more to offer! Hah.
Also included were some shortbread cookies and the Double Chocolate Ghirardelli hot cocoa, which I am saving for a particularly cold day where I can curl up and enjoy it in peace. Likely a snowy winter day when the kids are at school and Risi is napping.
