I don’t think any time in my life I’ve ever had perfectly white teeth, aside from maybe as a little tiny baby… but I can’t remember for sure. I know I don’t like the look of my teeth, and if I was a celebrity or anyone overly important people would be ripping me apart just for the color of my teeth. So, I’ve tried many over the counter teeth whitening products, but not with a ton of success over the time. I was excited to try Smile Brilliant because I could never really justify the cost of getting my teeth done at a dentist. Professional whitening can cost an arm and a leg!
Smile Brilliant gives you an applicator pen of some teeth whitening gel, a little mouth guard, and then an LED light tray that you stick in your mouth and can use up to 1 hour.
After 40 minutes I couldn’t handle it anymore, I was drooling like crazy and my tongue felt funny. I figured that should be a good amount of time for my first go, right?
There is a change as you can see above! Not bad for a first go around with a product. I’ve done it a couple more times since this but I keep forgetting to get a right after picture. *sigh*
I have pretty sensitive teeth (they weren’t before I went and got a bunch of cavities fixed, ugh go figure!) but I didn’t find that the Smile Brilliant ended up bothering my teeth much at all. There was a slight bit of tingling at first, but lots of toothpastes hurt more than this whitening kit does. Which was great, I worried that maybe with the sensitivities it’d be harder to get a whitening product that works.
I will update this post after my next round of Smile Brilliant LED whitening, so you can see further results.
