To celebrate with her class, I made chocolate cupcakes with pink frosting. I was going to do something more decorative, but this month has been a very hard month. So… I just went with getting them done and not failing her in this way. In her class when it’s someones birthday, they make a happy birthday book. Where everyone writes a letter to the birthday boy/girl. It was really sweet reading what her friends thought of her.
We had a party for her in combination with Mother’s Day, at my parents place. So she got her presents then, and had a cake as well! Mainly she decided to go with a fair bit of lego’s and I got her a play cash register that she wanted. The beeping thing of it drives me completely insane though, but I have to admit the fact that it’s microphone works makes it worth it! It’s the one the picture above.
One of her friends at school did her hair in all these little strange braids, they were a complete and total PITA to get out, some of them were so itty bitty that it just ate her hair no matter how careful I was. 🙁
On the kids birthdays, one of the things to make it a happy birthday is to buy them dinner. Lisi picked Chinese, and of course I’m not surprised that it involved a fair bit of Almond Chicken!
All in all I think things went okay, I still have to try and take her out to do something special. I try and make sure the kids get to go someplace fun as well. Just as long as I remember to avoid Chuck E Cheese’s… Lisi hated her last birthday party there.. T_T
I’m sorry this is such a late post Lisi-baby!! But I hope you had a wonderful day, and happy birthday once again!!
