Today I get to review Loopeez! A way to make tying shoes easier for little ones that is the neatest idea I’ve seen in a bit.
I signed up to review this product originally back before I had to move and had just resorted to mostly velcro shoes for the kiddos that cannot actually tie shoes quickly. Though they can do it, the time it takes is a bit frustrating when we’re on the go.
Still, Kat has shoes with laces and, although she ties her shoes just fine, her shoes are the ones you see pictured. I look forward to allowing Var to use these, in order to make tying his shoes easier come time to have tie-able shoes again.
The Loopeez we got were the boyish camo ones. I think Var will like these! I forgot to take a picture right before I took them off of
their little plastic tie. But this is how they look packaged. At first I was thinking ‘is this really going to work?’
Of course, getting to experiment with things is the best part of my job here, getting to test and review things allows me to try things I never would have even imagined before!
As I mentioned before this is how the loopeez look on Kat’s shoes. The instructions for the Loopeez are on the back, and are super simple. Once you cross the laces like you would to originally start tying your shoes, you place the loopeez over the cross, and pull through some ‘bunny ears’ as you can see here.
After that, you cross the ears, and loop them around to tie like you would regularly.
Loopeez says: use a regular size lace, some of the smaller shoe sizes are too little. Also, kids do each step if tying but it’s ok for the adult to put the Loopeez on the shoe for them.
